Jason Amarante
A first-generation Portuguese American, Jason was born into a large family that instilled a love of music. Jason works at Google by day, produces music in his San Jose recording studio by night, and plays competitive club soccer on the weekends. He's also played percussion, saxophone and keyboards in several bands, and once even had a gig at the House of Blues. Jason has a bachelor's degree in Business Management from San Diego State University and a master's degree in Sociology from San José State University. His favorite artist is Stevie Wonder.
Stefano Bortolin
Born and raised on the Peninsula, Stefano's knowledge of the local scene is vast. In addition to working events and parties with BIG FUN, he leverages his charismatic personality as a volunteer auctioneer and emcee at local school fund raisers. When not DJing (or working his day job as a sales manager), Stefano enjoys spending time with his family, coaching youth sports, and enjoying a glass of good wine. He attended St. Francis High School, College of San Mateo, and completed 4 years service in the U.S. Air Force.
Paul Burchfield
Paul's musical career began at the age of eight when he played "Gonna Fly Now" (the theme from "Rocky") for his mom on the trumpet and she thought it was "God Bless America." Retiring his horn soon thereafter, he is now a very popular DJ with BIG FUN Disc Jockeys. A graduate of San José State University, Paul spends his days at Apple Computer as part of the Sales Training organization. Paul can also be found editing and remixing music or ballroom dancing with his daughter at a local studio.
Cory Jones
Of Filipino and Caucasian descent, Cory is a polyglot, speaking conversational Filipino, Mandarin, and even a little Japanese (in addition to English, of course). With a degree in Management Information Systems at Santa Clara University, Cory can fix your computer or troubleshoot your router. Musically diverse, his personal tastes range from international hip-hop to alt-rock, and even Korean pop. When he's not DJing or working in the family real estate business, Cory pursues his interests in mixed martial arts and playing basketball.
Henry Kim
Henry's non-DJ job has him coding web applications and creating automation systems for Apple, Inc. On the DJ front, he brings some serious skills at beat matching, live mixing, and scratching, particularly when he's employing some of our software-based DJ equipment. Henry is married with a daughter. Remarkably, he can play the saxophone, keyboards, violin, trumpet, drums, and probably some other instruments we don't know about. Henry has also done theatrical sound design for TheatreWorks and Mountain View's Center for Performing arts. He's a graduate of Stanford University in Electrical Engineering.
Liz Mier
In addition to being a talented disc jockey with BIG FUN, Liz is also a classically-trained harpist, honing her craft with daily practice and playing weddings and other formal events throughout the Bay Area. In her free time, she enjoys exploring San Francisco's many neighborhoods on her super fuel-efficient scooter and enthusiastically listening to a wide variety of music. Liz holds a degree from Oberlin College, and she is currently pursuing a masters in nursing at the University of San Francisco.
Woody Miraglia
With a huge personal music collection, Woody's background includes running a CD store and acting in musical theater. When he isn't DJ'ing or working his day job at a small private equity company, he can be found teeing it up on Bay Area golf courses or navigating technical singletrack on his mountain bike. In addition to being a DJ, Woody is also BIG FUN's music librarian, and he's always looking out for the next big song to put in our collection. He graduated with degrees in Economics and Communication from Stanford University.
